

TEHRAN – Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi appointed Davoud Manzour as the new head of Planning and Budget Organization (PBO).
Manzour, who was previously the head of Iranian National Tax Administration (INTA), replaced Masoud Mir-Kazemi.
In a decree to appoint Manzour to the new post, the president mentioned revising the structure of the country’s budgeting system with emphasis on actualizing revenue sources, managing expenditures and solving the budget deficit problem, transforming the country’s planning system in order to realize progress combined with justice, holding continuous meetings of the Economic Council, and redefining the role of the PBO as his most important expectations from the Planning and Budget Organization.
