Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks during a meeting in Tehran with visiting Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.
The Leader hailed the resistance of President Maduro and the Venezuelan nation, and said that today the US’ look at Venezuela is different from the past.
Ayatollah Khamenei also referred to the scientific and technological progress made by the Islamic Republic of Iran over the past recent years, and said that these steps were taken while the country was under the toughest and most unprecedented sanctions which the US called them “maximum pressure”.
President Maduro arrived in the Iranian capital on Friday for a two-day visit.
