According to the Middle East Media Research Institute, the post also included a picture depicting caskets of US soldiers and a “resistance fighter” watching over rockets being launched over a city.
The institute said the post read in English: “The axis of resistance today is stronger than before.
“Resistance cells are rooted even in America and its capital.”
It comes as US President Joe Biden refused to offer upfront sanctions relief to Iran.
Mr Biden is seeking to revive and broaden the 2015 agreement which limited Iran’s nuclear program – which Donald Trump previously abandoned.
President Biden hopes to put greater limits on Iran’s nuclear program, its missile development and constrain its regional activities.
The US State Department has called on Iran to cease its terror operations.
They claimed the President aimed to send a warning to Tehran that Washington would not accept US citizens to be injured or killed but did not want military escalation.
According to Reuters, Clement Therme, an Iran expert at the European University Institute, said Mr Biden avoided prompting domestic opposition but that it could not last forever.
He said: “They are deft in the sense that they aren’t going to extinguish their political capital just after the elections to extend a hand to an Iranian Government that’s been despised in the US for the last 30 years.”
During his time at the White House, Mr Trump criticised the nuclear agreement for failing to rein in Iran’s support for proxy forces.
The former President reimposed US sanctions on Iran after withdrawing from the pacts in 2018.
